Event highlights Choose From Two Tracks: Two Day SAP-DOT Re-qualification Track: Effective January 1, 2004, before you can serve as a Substance Abuse Professional under the D.O.T. Regulations, you must have received 12 hours of qualifying training and then pass a qualifying examination. In addition, those qualified as SAPs must complete 12 hours of continuing education relevant to the SAP function, including recent updates in the regulations. This course contains the latest information. OR Back to Basics Track: This track includes: You’re Brain on Drugs: Brain Chemistry Altered for Good or Bad; Armed & Dysfunctional; Internet Addiction At Work and Home; Crisis Intervention for Co-Morbid and Complex Populations; Working with Unions and Member Assistance Programs; and much more.
Also included: Ethics Course (seating is limited to the first 40 participants) and a Special Plenary on Friday April 11 featuring Karl Benzio, MD, “Addiction: Sin or Disease;” a Dessert Reception and Night of Comedy Featuring Mark Lundholm.
